You're right, their motivations for abstaining do need to be very strong and very clear. <br />In my stories, both heroines are virgins by choice and both believe their reasons are good ones. But their decision is based not so much on sex but on a fear of being vulnerable to anyone. Cos let's face it, sex does make you vulnerable.
